3rd-4th Grade : 10U Modified Pitch

MGSA's in house league for third and fourth graders is 10U Modified Pitch. The game is similar to slowpitch, but we have relaxed the rules on the pitching arc, so pitchers can use almost any motion to try to get the ball over the plate. The goal is to help pitchers throw strikes, and help hitters put the ball in play.

(Pitchers have no speed or arc restrictions, but may not use a windmill -- windup -- motion.)

In this league, there is more emphasis on advanced throwing, hitting and fielding skills, as well as playing in game situations.

The 10U Modified Pitch league plays games on Wednesday nights and Saturday early afternoons at Legacy Fields, at the Minnetonka High School.

We also organize a competitive season-end tournament.
